Besides going to beaches, my favorite vacations are also going skiing, guess I like both being really hot and really cold? I love sliding down on my skis, and feeling the fresh air of the montains on my face. I went skiing with a group of friends to one of the most famous spots in France, Val Thorens and had an amazing week with them. Hope you don’t get too cold looking at these photos!

La Alhambra, Andalusia
Another spot I had to stop by during my Southern Spain road trip was la Alhambra in Granada. This palace and fortress complex located in Andalusia is absolutely breathtaking, its unique Arabic influence makes it an architectural gem. Located in the heights of the city, it overlooks Granada and offers beautiful views. Let me take you around this treasure of Arabic architecture with some of these pictures.
La Mezquita, a Southern Spain Cathedral
First post traveling in Spain. That is actually funny because I am half Spanish. Crazy none of the previous posts were about my second home. Well, let’s start with this one. A summer, a few years ago, we decided to drive down and visit Andalusia, southern Spain where I had never traveled to. We stopped by the most famous and well known cities such as Granada, Ronda, Cordova, Marbella,… Here is a first post of my Southern Spain series with pictures of La Mezquita cathedral in Córdoba or Cordova in English.
Sailing around Corsica
A gem of the Mediterranean sea. Corsica is one of my favorite islands I have been to in the Mediterranean, but also, besides that, I place that has a special place in my heart. I have very good memories there, as I was able to sail around the island twice. A good breath of fresh air while on a boat is always a good way to get away and relax, far from everything. I am on a break for two weeks, and in this very weird situation of a pandemic, looking through this pictures made me remember how much I loved to travel all around, without ever worrying. I remember this trip with, I guess happiness and sadness at the same time. But like me, these pictures might allow you to escape for a little bit.
New York : Brooklyn Bridge and Rockefeller Center
Here is the second part of my trip to New York City. I wanted to show you two emblematic places of NYC in a different post because I had a LOT of pictures I wanted to share from the Brooklyn Bridge and the Rockefeller Center. The girls and I were really lucky because at both these places we witnessed a beautiful sunset. Here is a little anecdote: The day we decided to go up to the top of the Rockefeller, we had planned going in the afternoon. We got there at the end of the day and thought: maybe we could stay until the sun sets? So we did and we had a great time. The four of us actually agreed that was our favorite memory of the trip.
New York City under the snow
Since I was in the US doing my year abroad, I knew I had to go visit New York City at some point. I decided to spend part of spring break there, with three of my best friends from Europe that came over to see me. Those were the eight BUSIEST days of my life. Just picture us, we hadn’t seen each other for a while, had so much to catch up on and so many places to go visit. I had always wanted to visit NY and what better than with them, walking around and laughing all day long. It is, in my opinion, a very unique city. At many levels, but more than anything, because of its architecture. From what one of the girls told me, since she had been to NY twice already, NYC is very different in the winter and the summer. Well, for my first time there, we got a snowy and really cold version of New York. Let me tell you that walking around in cold weather for around ten hours a day, had us frozen every night, back in the hotel room. Absolutely FROZEN. Here are pictures from the first part of my trip : Manhattan, Brooklyn and Soho.
Cozumel, Island of Mexico
On December 25th 2018, we took off and flew to Cozumel, a small island of Mexico. We escaped for one week, to a beautiful corner of the world. For the first time of my life, I spent Christmas on the beach! From beaches to small restaurants, I absolutely loved the vibe of this tiny island. The island is so small, it only takes about an hour to get from one end to the other. As we were driving along the east coast, I got to see the most beautiful water I had ever seen.
North Georgia, USA
I am so happy I got the opportunity to study abroad for my last year of high school. I spent a year in a beautiful place, the North of Georgia. I went to a boarding school called Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School, a school surrounded by the mountains. I had always lived in a city, and I think it has been an incredible experience to discover a complete different background. Here are some pictures of my year spent abroad…
Bolivia : Uyuni Salt Flats
While traveling around Bolivia, after I visited the area of the altiplano, I then headed south to stop by the famous salt lakes. This place is so famous because it is the largest salt lake on earth, but its reputation obviously is due to the spectacular mirror effect that happens when there is water on it. If you told me you had never seen any picture of this place before, I wouldn’t believe you! The pictures let such a small part of the whole beauty of the place to be seen. I find it so frustrating when I want to take a picture of a pretty place, but it just does not look ANYTHING ALIKE. Words and pictures cannot express the feeling that is felt once there. There are kilometers and kilometers of salt, and when a layer of water reflects the sky, it looks like you are in the clouds. You cannot distinguish the horizon line and separate the sky from the salt. It is such a weird feeling. But it is and will probably remain the most beautiful place I have visited in my life.
Bolivia : Altiplano and the Bolivian Amazon
On July 15th ,2018, I took off and flew over the Atlantic to Bolivia. I learned about a very different culture than mine. Different but humanly very enriching. I was confronted with another reality and another lifestyle that changed my perspective on things. I was absolutely fascinated by the landscapes of this country. Bolivia is a country we don’t hear much about, but it is truly beautiful. But more than anything, I was fascinated by the inner beauty of the people I met. I immediately felt welcomed and socially integrated, which gave me the chance to discover so much about the culture. People usually say that it is very different when you visit a country with locals, and I agree. I was lucky to know people from Bolivia, and that gave me a totally different experience than any other tourist would have had.
My first stop was La Paz, and shortly after, I visited many other places such as Tiahuanaco, Rurrenabaque, Copacabana, Sucre and many more…
